an episode of professor lee
journal entry, dated february 24, 2007
prof lee walks around the round earth, waits
for a bus on the street in the middle
of the night. prof lee walks through a new england
winter and peers up into the starry sky. then peers upward
and he is a younger self trying to sleep in a little cell
of a room, missing his parents. not able to deal with the
passage of time? prof lee walks along the shore and sees
a younger self? prof lee sits in a chair, stares blankly
at the walls. patterns. dust motes in the sunlight. floaters
in his own eye. the faulty body wanders among city
lights. a sense of bodies flying past, indistinct. hallways.
a circular, subterranean labyrinth. faces. hands and arms
reaching around. golf balls. magnifying glass. keyhole.
cloud. hovering among trees. lights, rooms, enclosure.
Comments
richard, prof lee is extraordinary and a delight, as are you apparently. your work is by far the most interesting i've ever seen in this genre. thank you for your insight. k

r,
this reminds me of 'street of crocodiles'(brothers quay)a little, seen it? although the lonely main character is a bit more curious/adventurous than the obsequious prof... i too am looking forward to lumakick 3, but you seem to have disappeared... a tear inducing absence btw.
