the first, called Silent Pictures, opens tomorrow, September 10th, at the CUNY James Gallery. the reception is from 6-8 and will be preceded by a book signing at Jim Hanley's Universe at 5, where various contributors to Abstract Comics: The Anthology will congregate. if you're really interested in abstract comics, a panel discussion will take place at MOCCA on saturday, september 12th, beginning at 4

also, this sunday, september 13th, Derailed: Comics off the Beaten Track opens at The Gallery of Contemporary Art at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. several originals from lumakick 1 and 2 will be on display, along with some ancillary material. the reception is from 1-3:30, and a panel discussion of some kind will ensue at 3:30
